Body
1. The minimum base weight of fwd car and driver is 2200# race ready.
2. The minimum base weight of rwd cars is 2400# with driver race ready.
3. Any 4-cylinder rwd carbureted car.
4. Any 4,5-,or 6-cylinder fwd car with factory automatic or manual transmission. Exceptions – No convertibles, No turbo or super charged engines, No multi carbs, No rotary engines, No mid or rear engine cars and No Cosworth engines. Factory stock fuel injection only.
5. All rear and side glass must be removed, all windshields to be stock or Lexan. All cars must have full windshield. Side and rear windows can be replaced with clear Lexan.
6. All exterior chrome, trim, molding, mirrors, and lights must be removed.
7. All door panels, carpet, headliner, plastic, upholstery, and any other flammable materials must be removed. All springs and latches must be removed. Dash pad can be replaced with a homemade style dash.
8. Body must have stock or aftermarket stock nose and tail piece. No wedge style nose. Max. 4” splitter.
9. No Late Model Look-alike cars.
10. A fully charged and properly mounted fire extinguisher is mandatory; 2lbs minimum, within drivers reach.
11. Spoilers 5” centered on the car or a rear sport wing, 50” max height measured from the ground.
Spoiler/wing clarification.
-Spoiler to be a conventional circle track style, clear and no more than 5” tall. Can not be wider than the car body.
-Wing to be a rear deck/hatch mounted raised type (sport wing) that is no taller, at its highest point, than 50” from the ground. Can not be wider than the car body.
Engine/Drivetrain
1. Motor must match same make of the car (Honda-Honda, Dodge-Dodge, etc.) You may remove excess wiring and sensors at your discretion. Aftermarket header is OK.
2. Batteries must be securely tied down and/or relocated and mounting tray reinforced. Batteries may be relocated; however, they must be securely fastened and within a completely enclosed battery box, preferably metal with metal retaining bar. Box and battery must be installed in a safe and responsible manner.
3. Stock, unmodified transmission and transaxle, as manufactured and delivered. Working forward and reverse gears.
4. A complete exhaust system with a maximum size of 3 1/2” O.D. mandatory. Exhaust must exit behind driver.
5. Any radiator allowed which will fit in stock brackets. 180-degree fan shroud required. An overflow container mounted in the engine compartment. Water only in radiator; no anti-freeze.
6. Cars without the fuel pump mounted in the tank must use a cell or marine type tank mounted in the trunk. Stock tanks are allowed if mounted in the front of rear axle. Cells are recommended and can be mounted to the trunk floor or in a built cage. Bottom feed cells are OK only if mounted to stock floor pan. Tanks must be securely fastened to the trunk floor with a minimum of two, 1” x 1 1/16” straps in each direction, bolted through the floor using double plates or installed in a safely constructed frame. Tanks shall be mounted 10” from rear of the back panel and 8” off the ground or beyond the frame rails. (cell required on wagons). Cars equipped with electrical fuel pumps must install a shut off switch clearly marked accessible from outside the car by race personnel.
7. Adjust coil over sleeves with stock type strut only. No adjustable coil over shocks.
8. Any fuel allowed except alcohol.
9. Steering and suspension shall be stock appearing. No sway bar rule. Cutting springs down or using progressive aftermarket stock style springs are OK. Must have stock style struts and non-adjustable shocks.
10. Spring rubbers are OK.
11. Cambering of front wheels is allowed. Aftermarket OEM replacement struts that have the camber adjustment already built in are OK. Open camber rule. Maximum of 1/8” difference front to rear (comparing left side to right side) on wheelbase measurements.
Interior/Cage
1. Roll bar over driver’s head required. Cages or bars shall be installed and constructed so the B hoop is higher than drivers and passenger’s head. Cage or bar must be mounted to the floor pan. A 12”x12” (Approx.) steel plate should be used at hoop mounting points, gussets at main intersections recommended.
2. Minimum 3 driver’s door bars are mandatory.
3. Front/rear bars – You are allowed to run up to 1 3/4” dia x .090 bars down to the rear struts off the back of the main cage as well as between the rear struts. You are allowed to run up to 1 3/4” dia support bar between the two front strut towers. Maximum or any tubing size with be 1 3/4” round or square; there will be no 3” or 4” channel. The rear bars may extend rearward from the top of the cage behind the driver, angling down towards the rear trunk area. You are allowed to have one 1 3/4” x .090 piece of tubing run between the two front frame horns of your car. This bar will be back from the front edge of the frame horn, so it won’t be mistaken as a support bar for your bumper. This bar is intended to keep the frame horns in place and to assist with the mounting of your radiator.
4. We suggest having a piece of tubing welded flat on the trunk floor, back near the kick-up of the very rear of the trunk area. This is the material that your rear bars will attach to, no bars of any kind will extend out through the rear of your trunk area; any bars out past this point will need to be cut before racing. You may have an X in between your diagonal bars.
5. 5-point aftermarket full race harness is mandatory!
6. Aluminum racing seat is mandatory, it must be mounted properly. No fiberglass seats allowed.
7. Window nets are required.
8. Must have tow hooks or other device front and rear for quick hookup.
9. Two-way radios are not allowed. No mirrors of any kind allowed.
Tires/Wheels
1. Hoosier 790 or 795 tires or Stock DOT type tires with 200 min. tread wear.
2. No grooving, capping, or soaking of any kind allowed.
3. Rims shall be 15” diameter or smaller but must all be the same size rim. Maximum 7" wide.
4. Oversized 1” lug nuts required.
5. Right front racing type safely wheels are mandatory, the other wheels can be racing wheels or stock.
