Attention ABC Drivers! The classes will be officially split up this Friday! We thank all the drivers for their dedication and patience. Rules for the Pro Stocks and Street Stocks will be similar to what they were last year. Watch for the rules to be out on M40Speedway.net later today! Points will be separated by class also.!!


Street Stock - 2012(REVISED 5/20/12)

Weight
Overall:
3100 lbs (car, driver, & helmet before the race)

No made for racing clutch.

**PLEASE NOWHINING RULE-If you, as a driver or a crew member, complain to an official or tech person about a competitors car or components, your car may be inspected first then the process may begin on the competitors car. This applies to anytime your car is at the speedway.

All added weights to car should be painted white and have car number on it. No weight below the frame. All added weights shall be securely fastened with minimum ½ in. steel grade threaded rod. Adding weight for a rule violation will be allowed for one race only. If you have more than one rules infraction, you may be moved up a class for that night!! It must be corrected by the following week. This excludes all special shows, you must be legal to show up and race the big shows!!

HEAD AND NECK RESTRAINT SYSTEMHIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

Body:
a. Minimum wheelbase 108 inches. 80 inch track width with toe boards.
b. No holes in hood except for hood pins.
c. Body sheet metal remains stock and in place at all times. Cockpit must remain open. Building of dash OK.
d. Stock floor pan front to rear - firewalls to remain intact. 50# If not original.
e. All Holes plugged.
f. Hood and trunk lid to be pinned.
g. Doors to be welded, chained or bolted.
h. All glass removed, all windshields to be Lexan.
i. All chrome and lights removed.
j. All door panels, carpet, headliner, plastic, upholstery and any other flammable materials must be removed.
k. Racing type seat mandatory - no fiberglass. Seat belts must be properly installed - five point system only-3 years or newer. Window net mandatory.
l. Fully charged and properly mounted fire extinguisher is mandatory;2.5 lbs. minimum.
m. Batteries to be securely fastened and covered.
n. No mirrors; no radios.
o. Fuel cell mandatory. Mounted above centerline of rear end,10 in. minimum clearance.
p. Window net is mandatory.
q. Complete steel stock body or Five Star steel body kit OK, 81-88Monte Carlo w/tube bumpers and plastic nose and tail pieces are legal. (Five Star Style or equal). No aluminum body parts. Stock bumpers ok. No sharp edges. 6.5 inch spoiler ok. No chopped roofs. MUST keep stock body shape.
r. Any sharp edges or bolts sticking out must be cut off. Anybody that does not remain stock looking could be ruled illegal and you will have one week to fix the infraction.

Frame:

a. Stock pedals or racing pedals ok. Tubular steering shaft with a minimum of two universal joints OK. Collapsible steering shaft highly recommended.
b. Stock 4 link only in stock location. No heims of any kind.
c. Spindles, rotors, calipers, tie rods, drag links, steer box, trailing arms, etc. to be stock OEM. A-arm stock OEM or tubular upper non adjustable a-arms ok. No heims. You can cut and alter A-arms to gain caster and/or camber. No adjustable ball joints! All cars will adhere to a minimum ride height of 4 inches.
d. Safety constructed 4 post roll cage with minimum 3 bars on driver side. 1 ½ in. OD .090 wall. Front and rear hoop OK. Driver's door must have a 10"x30"x1/8" minimum steel plate welded or bolted securely to cage.
e. Screw jacks all 4 corners ok in stock locations. Outboard shocks add 25 lbs each.

Engine Drive Train:

a. Engine must be stock appearing, all cast iron - stock location! Roller cams, roller rockers assemblies OK. .Aluminum intakes add 50#, #1 spark plug must not be behind upper ball joint.
b. Headers or center dumps ok. No 180 or over the top headers. MUST run mufflers.
c. Locked rear ends OK. 9 inch ford rear ends are optional. No other modifications; must be stock for year and make of car. Stock trailing arms.
d. Stock or aluminum radiator in stock location - front hoop to frame horns OK. Move overflow hose to the windshield mount on right side.
e. No electric fuel pumps, stock style HEI ignition only. No MSD style.
f. Car to have 4 wheel stock brakes that are all operational. Stock location. Disc ok in rear. No aluminum calipers.
g. Carbs 2 or, 4 barrel ok 750 CFM MAX, no exceptions! Max adapter spacer is 1 inch. No alum carbs or sleeved carbs.
h. A transmission to be stock for year and make of car -reverse gear is mandatory. No transmission coolers in driver's compartment. Automatic transmissions or 3 or 4 speed transmissions ok. Stock type clutch add 50 lbs. No aluminum or direct drive transmissions. Car must idle in gear w/hands on steering wheel. Power glides without converted accumulator and working 12 in. torque converter
i. Drive shaft hoop mandatory!
j. 100 DB mufflers mandatory!
k. OEM brakes only, no aluminum calipers.
l. Aftermarket gas pedal OK.

Suspension

a. Stock mounted shocks or Pro WB series shocks only. No rebound stiffer than 8. Steel body shocks only. Shocks must be factory issued - no altering!! Any illegal shock on car will result in loss of money and points for the night. Must be legal-no one night probation!!

Tires/Wheels

a. Hoosier 970's, 880 or 790's allowed.
b. All wheels are to be 6, 7 or 8" steel safety type only- 1" lug nuts highly recommended!

Miscellaneous

a. Welds and safety equipment will be inspected.

The interpretation of these rules is at the discretion of the track officials. Safety rules will be strictly enforced. This class is for beginners! A breakout qualifying time will be established.

ANY INTERPRETATION OR CHANGING OF THESE RULES ISAT THE DISCRETION OF THE TRACK OFFICIALS. THEIR DECISION IS FINAL!

ANY MAJOR INFRACTION OF RULES WILL BE ASSESSEDAS A FORFEITURE OF POINTS AND MONEY'S EARNED FOR NIGHT. THIS WILLBE AT THE DISCRESTION OF THE TECH INSPECTOR

The New and Improved M 40 Speedway is pleased to announce a new program for the 2012 racing season. "Friends of the M 40 Speedway" will be a program to allow small companies and individual families and friends to help sponsor the drivers of the M 40 Speedway as well as the track it self. This program is set up on 3 levels to fit any budget.

When you walk into the M 40 Speedway 3 large plaques will hang in the ticket office for all to see. We will have a Silver, Gold, and Platinum Plaque. These will list names of each sponsor, family, or friend who helps out at the M 40 Speedway. The Silver Package will be $200 per sponsor. The Gold sponsor will be $400, and the Platinum sponsor will be $600. Each Sponsor will get a pair of tickets good for any Friday Night event as well as their name mentioned each and every week over the PA.

If this is not enough it gets better. HALF yes HALF of all money from all 3 levels of Friends of the M 40 Speedway will go directly to the ABC Stock points fund. M 40 Speedway continues to move forward with our main focus helping those who help us the weekly drivers. The ABC Stock class is sure to be one of the biggest classes M 40 Speedway has ever seen and now with the addition of a points fund for this class things will grow even bigger.

PETS
Pets are not allowed EXCEPT service dogs. It is never acceptable to us to leave your pet in your vehicle during the races!! It is encouraged all pets remain at home, safe and comfortable.

SHOES/ATTIRE
Absolutely NO open toe shoes of any type are allowed in the pits under any circumstances! NO EXCEPTIONS! You will be escorted to the grandstands. We pride our self on being a very family-friendly facility. We ask that you keep your shirt on at all times.

GRANDSTAND ADMISSION
Grandstand Admission prices are as follows UNLESS it is a special event. Always check the website before coming out to see if there will be a different admission for that event.

CREDIT CARDS
We are equipped with a credit card machine, Mastercard, Visa or Discover, no American Express. Cash and checks are also acceptable forms of payment we accept. Checks will require proper ID.

COOLERS
Coolers are allowed at M40 but must be small enough to place in front of you in the stands, i.e. 6-can cooler-1 per person. Glass containers are prohibited. Your cooler will be checked at the gate so have it ready as you are moving through the line.
