Greetings teams and race fans, since there has not been a lot to talk about lately with all going on in the world, we figured it is probably a good time to make a huge announcement regarding our 2020 season.
My name is Chad, I have been the interim series director over the past 2 seasons, and one of the fb administrators for the last 7 years. It has been a fun ride, I have met a lot of wonderful people along the way, and have made some great new friendships with some of the greatest people around.
While I have had my fun, have had some great teammates over the years, and have been able to experience winning a championship as a car owner, the time is right to now hand over the reigns to a new group of people who have worked very close with our series over the years, have supported us through the good times and bad, and who are committed to preserving the grass roots of racing via this great Vintage Modified Series. I am both proud and happy to announce that the Glow Vintage Outlaws have transitioned our series into a regular track series now at M-40 Speedway in Jones, Mi.
The track owners and promoter have welcomed us on as a regular class at M-40 Speedway, beginning in 2020. While this may be a new beginning, it is also an opportunity for bigger and better things to come in the future.
For the 2020 season, we will still be doing some traveling to 3 other venues, as our schedule indicates. Those tracks being Galesburg Speedway, Owosso Speedway, and Birch Run Speedway. Please come out and help support us, not only at M-40 Speedway, but at our other venues as well.
As always, we are still looking for some race day volunteer help, so if you have an interest, in any capacity, please message us, or the staff at M-40, we would be happy to have you on board.
If you are interested in any form of series sponsorship opportunities, there are many ways to get involved, send us a message, we will be happy to talk with you or any potential sponsors.
We will be offering a mentor program for people looking to get involved with Vintage Mod Racing, and have some of the best car owners and drivers in the area, always eager to help the newcomers.
Our website will soon be merged with M-40, however we will continue to host this page during this transition period as we have thousands of fans who follow us, so we will not be going anywhere anytime soon, just a name change, a different look with a new logo, and a new attitude.
I myself and very grateful that the management at M-40 has agreed to carry on the Vintage Mod Series, and personally I am looking forward to getting back in the car, and focusing on one thing, to go fast, and have fun doing so.
In ending, I would like to thank each and every team owner, crew member, drivers, fans, promoters, sponsors, and everyone else who has supported the Glow Vintage Modifieds, both current and past, your support has not gone un noticed.
Thank you very much.
We hope to see you all this spring when the tracks open up and look forward to seeing the M 40 Vintage Mods be as successful in the future as they have been in the past.
If you know anyone with a vintage mod, refer them to check out the series, as all vintage modifieds are welcome.
Thank you again, and we all are looking forward to this opportunity.
